Liaison and Diversion outreach team have five workers who support people aged (18+). All members of our team offer a friendly, non-judgemental, person led approach and are committed to finding the right ongoing support for each person.
Every vulnerable person is offered an assessment in police custody, if consent is provided the assessment is shared to the outreach team who will offer support over either a six-week period or across six interactions to find appropriate support in the community.
Our Team
All members of our team offer a friendly, non-judgemental service and are committed to finding the right support for each person. The Liaison and Diversion team has six outreach workers: five are provided by Catalyst and one from Barnardo’s. The Catalyst workers support adults (18+) and Barnardo’s support young people under 18.
What to expect
Each individual is assessed in police custody, and signposted to the Liaison & Diversion team if required. We work with each person over either a six-week period or across six interactions to find appropriate support in the community and help reduce the likelihood of re-offending.
