Shifa Network: An Exciting New Chapter
The Shifa Network has been an important part of Catalyst Support's family for many years, providing a safe, culturally sensitive space for ethnically diverse women to build their wellbeing, confidence, and independence. The work Shifa has done, and the trust it has built in the community, is genuinely remarkable.
We are proud to announce that Shifa is now taking a significant step forward: the team is establishing Shifa as its own independent Community Interest Company (CIC). This means Shifa will have full autonomy to define, develop, and grow its services in a way that truly reflects its community and values.
What is Shifa?
Shifa Network supports ethnically diverse women in Surrey, offering a welcoming and non-judgemental environment, classes (including ESOL and yoga), drop-in support, and culturally informed care for mental and emotional wellbeing.
What does this change mean?
Shifa services will be temporarily paused from 1 April while the new organisation is being established. We are working closely with the Shifa team to ensure that everyone currently receiving support is kept informed and safe throughout this transition.
We wish the whole Shifa community every success as they write this exciting new chapter and we look forward to seeing Shifa flourish with the independence and identity it deserves.
