Catalyst Support is a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status and is a leading provider of support for people dealing with challenges from drugs, alcohol and poor mental health in Surrey and the South East. Its work is funded through a variety of means.
Funding Sources
Catalyst Support receives a large part of its funding from contracts won through a competitive process (often against national organisations) and subject to regular reviews and reporting. We believe firmly in the added value of contracting with an agency that has a proven track record in the field and can demonstrate understanding of the region.
We are also supported through our social enterprise, Alpha, and by our charity book and record shop in Godalming.
Grant funding from the Big Lottery Fund supports the Catalyst Counselling programme. We actively seek to apply for additional appropriate grant funding to develop pilot projects and to expand the current provision.
Local charities and other organisations in Surrey have provided funding for small and larger projects, as well as practical support and advice.
We receive generous donations from people who have used our services, which is a wonderful tribute to the work of our employees and volunteers and enables us to offer services to other people in need.
We are very grateful to the following funders:
- National Lottery Community Fund
- Community Foundation for Surrey
- Surrey County Council
- Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust
- Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership
- Screwfix Foundation
- Walton Charity
- Active Surrey
- Sport England
- Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey
- Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire
