Community Connections Surrey Launches New Partnership Website

We are very pleased to announce that Catalyst Support, Mary Frances Trust and Waythrough (formerly Richmond Fellowship) are launching a new Community Connections Surrey partnership website as well as new marketing materials as part of a brand refresh.

This comes after the three providers were awarded a new Community Connections contract in 2024 to continue to provide the service in their respective areas for the next 5 years.

As part of the new contract, the lead providers are committed to working more closely with each other and with the people who use our services, to enhance our offering and make our services easier to access.

The new website, poster and leaflet highlight the partnership element of Community Connections Surrey, the type of support the service delivers and the areas covered by each charity partner to provide better information and signposting.

What is Community Connections?

Community Connections Surrey is a partnership between three third sector organisations (Catalyst Support, Mary Frances Trust and Waythrough) that delivers easy access mental health support in the Surrey community. Each provider delivers the service in their allocated area, and together we cover the whole of Surrey.

The Community Connections service offers free support to Surrey residents (aged 16+) experiencing mental health or emotional wellbeing difficulties such as low mood, stress, anxiety or a diagnosed mental health condition.

We offer individual support through goal setting sessions and access to a wide range of peer support groups and wellbeing activities (physical health, self-development, arts and crafts, connection to nature, interests and hobbies), delivered in small groups, both online and face-to-face. The service also offers advice and information for practical issues affecting your wellbeing such as debt, housing, benefits and carer issues.

All support and activities are free, can be accessed in a timely manner and are available over the long term, if needed.

Community Connections Surrey is funded by Surrey County Council, NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board.

How do you refer to Community Connections?

Community Connections is a self-referral service which means, anyone aged 16+, living or working in Surrey can register to receive their support. We accept referrals from mental health professionals, GPs and other organisations.

People can access Community Connections while they wait for specialist support or on top of any other mental health service. You do not need a diagnosis to access the service.

Community Connections is offered by your local provider, please check who delivers the service in your area on our new website: communityconnections.org.uk/contact or see contact details below.
