Outline – our LGBTQ+ listening service

Outline, a Catalyst Support LGBTQ+ listening service, is here to talk to anybody about gender identity and sexuality. We are a safe place to ask questions not only for the members of the LGBTQ+ community, but also for their family, friends and loved ones. We offer confidential support through our chat and don’t collect your personal information.

Call to chat

We have recently introduced several changes in response to feedback and activity patterns of people who use our service.

We have moved away from telephone support and now offer an online chat function. Our chat is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, providing a safe and confidential way for anyone to reach out when they need to talk. There is also an email option, so you can ask a question any time, and we will come back to you when the service is next open.

A safe space to connect

Alongside confidential support in our chat, Outline runs a weekly online group designed to help people connect with others in the community. There is also a monthly social activity that anyone is welcome to join. These sessions provide a safe space and give people the chance to build friendships, share experiences and feel part of a wider network.

Outline also takes part in local events and offers signposting to other local services, helping people access the right support at the right time.

In Outline we believe that everybody deserves love and support, so however you identify yourself, or no matter what question you want to ask, our doors are open.

For anyone interested in joining the groups, attending a social activity or finding out more about the service, please visit the Outline website, email the team or get in touch through the online chat.
