Catalyst Support has received funding from the Mental Health Investment Fund to run ‘pop-up hubs’ from a single location in key neighbourhoods, with VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations, co-locating complimentary services in the community breaking down barriers to access, increasing joint-working and building community.
We will open the hubs to visitors in May and June this year with partners Citizens Advice and Home-Start to support people in the heart of the community. We aim to increase the accessibility of all three services and enable people accessing one service to be more easily bridged into other services relevant to their individual needs.
The hubs will help residents access mental health support from Catalyst Support, financial support from Citizens Advice and parenting and perinatal support from Home-Start in the same location in the heart of the community.
Co-locating services in key neighbourhoods has support from both VCSE providers and from place-based commissioners, as all parties appreciate the benefits this can bring to residents.
Each hub will have a small number of partners, tailored according to local requirements in the following locations:
- Chertsey – Revive Coffee Shop, The Beacon, 95 Guildford Street, KT16 9AS
Wednesdays, 10:00–12:00 – Starting 12th May - Woking – St Andrew’s Church, Goldsworth Park, GU21 3LG
Thursdays, 10:00–12:00 – Starting 12th May - Englefield Green – The Village Centre – 68 Victoria Street, TW20 0QX
Tuesdays, 10:00–12:00 – Starting 3rd June - Godalming – Ockford & Aarons Hill Hub, 1 Ock Way, GU7 2FL
Fridays, 09:30–11:30 – Starting 23rd June - Guildford – Guildford Family Centre, Hazel Avenue, Southway, GU1 1NR
Mondays, 12:30–14:30 – Starting 23rd June
These hubs will help individuals navigate local services and foster connections with the community. The program will work closely with GPs, local groups, and community partners to spread the word and ensure the hubs reach those who need them most.
The hubs are free to attend, there is no booking or referral required.
