On a bright frosty morning, service users and staff set off for a ramble exploring Hampton Court Palace. The walk was a good five miles and followed the River Thames down to Kingston Bridge, where we stopped for a warming cup of coffee and delicious cake. We returned through the centre of Hampton Court Park, visited an Ice House on the way which was built in 1625, the Methuselah Oak which is over 750 years old and walked down the side of the spectacular Long Walk. We finished with a short tour of the beautiful Palace Gardens. A big thank you to Jill, a member of the Catalyst staff for giving us a fascinating insight into the life of Henry V111 and a little of the history of the Palace and grounds. Daniel who joined us on the walk commented: “there was so much to see in the park and gardens
