SAFE HAVEN CAMBERLEY OPENS THIS FRIDAY!

Plans to open a ‘Safe Haven’ in Camberley for people in mental health crisis become a reality at 6pm this Friday (13th November 2015).

The drop in centre at 147 London Road, new home of The Welcome Project, will offer a safe, calm and friendly welcome for people and carers in need of emotional and mental support. Building on the success of the Safe Haven in Aldershot which has been running for over a year providing a safe and supportive alternative to A&E attendance when people are in need.

It will be open two evenings a week (Friday and Monday 6pm-11.00pm) and complement an existing service in Aldershot High Street (open Mon-Fri 6-11.0pm and Sat/Sun 12.30-11pm ) to help people find support, help and advice from staff and meet others with similar experiences.

Commissioned by NHS Surrey Heath Clinical Commissioning Group, with funding from Surrey County Council, and will be run by jointly by Catalyst and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust.
