This year Time to Talk day is Thursday 6th February – a day that encourages the nation to think about and talk about mental health.
As a charity that specialises in mental health and emotional wellbeing, talking and supporting is what we do best. We will be using the day raise awareness about the services we offer and encouraging people to talk about their own mental health – often the hardest part.
Talking Mental Health Benefits
There are many benefits of getting people to talk more openly about mental health – here are just a few:
- Can improve relationships
- Can help recovery
- Reduce the stigma
- Can help resolve issues
- Break down stereotypes
- Provide guidance and support
Starting a conversation about mental health might seem daunting but simply sending a text, checking in on a friend or sharing something on social media can break the ice.
