Peter Wallis has announced that he is to stand down as Chair of the Catalyst Board and also as a Director/Trustee of the charity.
Peter has been a Trustee since 2008 and in early 2009 he became the Chair of the Catalyst Board of Trustees. He considers the time is now right to hand over the reins to someone else.
During his time in office Peter has contributed greatly to the success of Catalyst. Through his drive and commitment, he has been enormously valuable in helping the charity achieve so much during his time in office. The last 12 months in particular were especially difficult due to the sudden and untimely death of the previous CEO (Haydn Morris), the need to maintain the charitys’ focus and service delivery, and more latterly the recruitment and appointment of a new CEO.
The trustees are very grateful to Peter for all he has done for Catalyst, and his wise leadership of the Board of Trustees. He will be an extremely hard act to follow.
Peter has agreed to remain in post until the next Trustee Meeting on the 20 April 2018, which provides the charity with time to find the right person to be the next Chair of the Board of Trustees.
We are also very pleased that Peter has agreed to remain a Director of Alpha Extreme Services (AES), a separate community enterprise company wholly owned by Catalyst.
